Both Cairo and Tel Aviv have agreed to US/USSR C-F plan as
approved by UNw/PRC abstaining.

CBS AM said Israelis want POW exchange and allowance for Israel
to "hold on to enough of territory" gained in '67 for sufficient security.
Quint said Israel is now convinced more than ever they must have some
Sinai and Golan Heights territories as buffer.
Authoritative sources say Egypt mounted major all-night offensive
against Israeli bridgehead 6 miles into W. bank of Canal.
AP said HAK's trip to Israel was all very reminiscent of last winter,
when HAK/Le Duc Tho would negotiate for terms and then HAK would fly
to Saigon to try to sell terms to Thieu. That effort won Nobel for both,
notes AP.

On Today Israel's Herzog said C-F can be lived w/if it leads to peace.
As for who won, one must look at war aims. Israel has survived tho it didn't
destroy Arab armies as hoped. Arabs certainly didn't achieve what they
set out to. Even their incursion across Suez is only a psychological
impetus, for whereas they had controlled Suez traffic by holding west bank,
now they no longer have that control. And Herzog believes Arabs will
think "many times again" before another attack. And US-USSR have shown
