IN REPLY PLEASE REFER TO:
HILBERT P.ZARKY
Honorable Richard M. Nixon
Vice President of the United States
Senate Office Building
Washington, D. C.
Dear Mr. Vice President:
Is it possible that the President or
State Department would invite Prime Minister
Ben Gurion of Israel to come to the United States
as a guest of this country? I understand that
such invitations have been extended to many top
officials of other countries and that such an
invitation to Mr. Ben Gurion would not in any
sense be unusual. If you think it of value to
pursue this matter I wish you would let me know
that. If you feel it is proper to do SO I would
like to inform the local community of your desire
to help bring about such an invitation.
I deeply appreciated the note you sent
me after your visit here. I hope you will have
an opportunity to soon be with us in California
again. The dear old Republican Party in this
great state needs all the help that can be given
it.
Again, my appreciation.
Sincerely,
mbs : lb
