The Honorable Ronald Reagan
President
The United States of America
Washington, DC 20501
Dear President Reagan:
Sometime back, I had written you recalling how I had had the pleasure
of introducing you at a dinner here some 35 years ago when you were a
public relations official with General Electric and they decided to
build a plant in Murfreesboro; and I have had the pleasure of supporting
you since you have been President of The United States.
My congratulations upon giving Senator Howard Baker the opportunity as
Chief of Staff. I know he will make a real contribution to America.
Howard Baker is not only a great Tennessean, but a great American and
has served his country well as a statesman.
My prayers and heartfelt admiration have been with you and Nancy during
the past several weeks. I have followed your administration since you
have been in this office, and I believe everything you do is done for
the best for the American people and this great country. I want you and
Nancy to know all of us appreciate what you are doing and the bulk of the
American people are with you one hundred per cent. I am confident under
your able leadership that things will work out for the best.
May God continue to bless you and the First Lady in everyway.
Sincerely,
