PURPOSE To be interviewed for a cover story for "M" Magazine's second issue. II. BACKGROUND The interview will be on the President's values and philosophy. The questions will be personal and introspective in nature, centering on the President's inner strength and personal satisfaction. The interviewer indicates the following types of questions: Where do you get the inner strength to deal with the difficult problems you face each day? What makes you so optimistic? How can you sleep well at night after having had hard days? Why do people feel better about them- selves and about life when they see and hear the President? How do you relax? What art and books do you like? "M" is a new magazine published by Fairchild Publications. This will be the centerpiece of the second issue, illustrated with a large selection of White House photographs of the President III. PARTICIPANTS The President Susan Watters - Fairchild Publications IV. PRESS PLAN Fairchild photographer for first few minutes of interview. The issue of "M" with the interview will be on the stands in November. V. SEQUENCE OF EVENTS After brief introductions, the interview will begin.
