St. Patrick's Day. In addition, to present to
Mrs. Reagan a gift of Beeleek porcelain, and the
Reagan Irish family tree stitched on linen.

BACKGROUND:
Originally Prime Minister Haughey had been scheduled to
visit the United States at this time, and had been
invited to call on the President. The Prime Minister
cancelled his trip for domestic political reasons, and
requested that Ambassador Donlon be received in his
place. It is not anticipated that the meeting would
involve substantive discussions.
