(3) producing is reduced. Mr. Andrews kindly invited me to lunch and we returned to the plant at 1:30 and procured an appointment with Mr. 0. H. Van Amburg who is the Engineer in Charge of the luminous fixtures connected with the Wiring Supplies Department. Mr. Van Amburg informed me that they had started advertising and sold the first five thousand pull chain pendents before the menufacturing process was completed. Upon my suggestion Mr. Van Amburg is preparing some small glass fixtures to be attached to holder similar to the sample I procured from him which we are to illuminate. He also requires a price on a dise 5/32 of an inch in diameter for insertion in their push pin for wall switches. Mr. Van Amburg suggested that we paint this on celluloid. Upon second thought it would be better to use water paste and paint it on a. dise of card board or heavy paper. This dise is inserted in their push-pin with a cover- ing of transparent celluloid or glass and the shoulder of the pin is turned over to fasten it securely in place. Mr. Van Amburg has experienced a great deal of trouble with the appli- cation of the material and was impressed with our evident ability of supplying them with apparatus illuminated. Probably the strongest argument which we have is our ability to apply the material. It will save them a great deal of trouble and enable them to procure accurate costs and eliminate waste if we supply them with the dises and arrange some practical way to illuminate the small tubes. Mr. Van Amburg is having six special glass tubes made for us which will arrive within the next few days. Mr. Andrews has requested that we submit five standard grades of material for their future reference. Mr. Van Amburg would appreciate us sending him a comple te list of the glass bottle
