C O P Y Dresden, Sept. 9,1922 Phys. Institute of the Technical university. Esteemed Proressor: Your letter of June 28th, has been received and the Secretary asked me to answer it, as Professor Hallwachs died on June 20, and I am at present in charge of it. The Secretary let you know that a Mr. A.S. Von so is unknown here. Please permit me to add a few words to you, esteemed Professor. You say in your letter to Prof. Hollwachs "that you are the only member of the faculty in Dresden who knows me at least by name". I am sure that all our assistants know very well your works, and that you underestimate the fame of your name. We snall be only to glad to refund to you all your expenses for duplicates of your publications abroad. With the highest regards, Dr. H. Dember, Prof. or Phys.
