Dear Dr. Flinn:
Your letter of the 5th inst. is at hand. I an
referring your question to Dr. Bowing for more detailed reference.
It is true that me keep close watch of the technicians that
are handling radium. However, in regard to the blood studies we have
had no devintion from the normal of any of our people who are exposed to
radium emanations.
of course, that is the state of affairs that TO always hope
to maintain. Dr. Bowing can give you further reference to various reports
that could be used as controls in your studies.
He also suggests that such effects might be due to poisoning
with other substances used in the preparation in the "radio-Lite" dials
rather than to the rays themselves.
A$ any rate we shall both be glad to know the outcome of
your study of this occupational disease.
