Dr. Frederick B. Flinn,
c/o Columbia University,
College of Physicians & Surgeons,
437 West 59th St.,
New York City.
Dear Dr. Flinn:
Thanks for your note of the 16th.
I was
planning to get together with you before this, but have
postponed phoning principally for two reasons: I heard
that you were going to Chicago to make examination of
Radium Dial Company's operators, which should add quite a
number to the list examined, and I was also waiting for
final word in regard to the suits.
After you have returned from Chicago will
probably be soon enough. On your return, will you phone
me se that we can arrange a meeting ?
Up until the time that the Standard Chemical
Company, parent of the Radium Dial, arranged to represent
the Belgian radium producers in this country, the Dial
Company I believe used consequential amounts of Mesothorium
in the manufacture of luminous powders. You will probably
want to get this data, which perhaps might be overlooked if
you did not ask for it because the Belgian agency extends two
or three years back.
I am glad we sent you the check since the insurance
company is waiting for action on the suits before settling up.
Yours truly,
President.
