July 12th, 1926. Mr. Mason n. Alamo, Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomastion, Gonn. Dear Adames- Riclosed herewith you will find an article entitled "Radio Active Material an Industrial Hasard?", by Dr. Frederick B. Flinn, Ph. De, Assistant Professor of Physiology in Industrial hygione, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University, which treats of the so called necrosis" or radinm poisoning cases. The investigation by Dr. Flinn, which formed the basis of his article, has been by far the most thorougia and far venching vora undertaken on this subject. This article will appear in one of the early issues of the Journal of the American Medical Association. Whle it seem that the charge of Readium poisoning caused the death of several girls (which charge was widely advertised through the press a fer months ago) is entiroly unfounded, we naturally hesitate - without further investigation - to make the broad statement that radiun in luminous meterial is mharnful, although we believe this to be the case. Therefore, in order to be on the safe side, we caution you, if you have not already done 30, to order your operators not to point their application brushes with their lips. Whenevor we receive any further information on the subject, tre shall ba glad to pasa it along to you Yours very troly, President. on Inclosurs (1) or anplecs hos of pare IMLEHIOK WEOvDnw
