Gentlement-
herowith you will find article entitled
"Radio Active Material an Industrial Hazard9", by Dr. Frederick B. Flinn,
Ph. Des Assistant Professor of Puysiologr in Industrial Hygiens, Colleg
of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University, which treats of the
so called #radiom necrosis* or radium poisoning cases. The invostization
by Dr. Flinn, which formed the basis of his article, has been by far the
most thorough and far reaching work undertakon on this subject. This
article will appear in one of the early issues of the Journal of the
American Medioal Association.

caused the death of several girls (which charge was widely advertised
through the press a few months ago) ie entiroly unfounded, we naturally
hesitate - without further investigation - to malte the broad statement
that redium in luminous matorial is mhannful, al though wo believe this
to be the case. Therefore in order to be on the safe side, we asution
you, if you have not already done so, to order your operators not to
point their application brushos betwoon their lips.
