RECFIVED
COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA
DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND INDUSTRY
HARRISSURG
July 13, 1926.
United States
Radium Corporation
Mr. C. B. Lee,
President, United States Radium Corp.
30 Churdh Street,
New York City, N.Y.
My dear Mr. Lee:
Thank you very much for your letter of July 12 and
the copy of Dr. Flinn's article on "Radioactive Material
An Industrial Hazard" which accompanied your letter.
I had a very interesting interview with Dr. Flinn
a
few weeks ago, at which time he told me a great deal about
his investigations into the effects of radioactive substances
on the workers using them. His study has certainly gone a
long way toward clearing up the controversy on this subject.
I hope, however, that his plans for periodic physical
examinations of the workers he has had an opportunity to observe
will not be stopped, as observation of the same workers over a
period of several years would of course be a great deal more
valuable than single examinations of these individuals.
Appreciating very much your courtesy and your interest,
I am
Very truly yours,
Elizabeth Elizabeth B. B. Bricker, Bricker M.D.
Chief, Hygiene and Sanitation
EB:S
Section.
