Dear Mr. Lee: -
Replying to your letter of July 21st,which
I presume has been sent to other users of luminous
material in considerable quantity, we certainly agree
that the article by Dr.Flinn shows a very considerable
amount of study, and we also realize that someone must
bear the expense.
Before taking this matter up with Mr. Chase I
thought I would write you to inquire as to whether or
not in your opinion the work of Dr.Flinn, which we are
now financing and which work will undoubtedly afford
him considerable study, will not measurably serve as what
might be considered our share of the expense of the re-
search in question.
