gording to lan on her onth deposes and saya:
lo I em the complainant in the faregoing bill
of complaint named. I have rond the same and I an familiar
with the contents thercof, and the matters and things therein
set forth are true.
2.e I reside at 1497 Tromont Avonuo, Orange, New
Jersey.
3. I worked at the Orange plant or the United
States Radium Corporation from about April 10, 1917, until
about Ohristmas time in 1020, working fivo and ono-half days
on a normal weak banis. It was my duty to mix a paste from
a powder, water and othor materials, which wore fumished to
mo by my employer, and apply the paste thus mixed, by means
of a small qumel's hair trush to the numerala on the dials
of watohes. In painting the dials, I used to point the brush
wi th my lips, as I was taught to do whon I first came to the
Company, the pointing or the bzuch by the lipa being a neg-
ossary operation. It was customary among all my 00-Workers
at the plant, to so point the brunh with their lips and in
faot, vory little work gould be accomplithed without so do-
ing. The powäer which I mixed with warder to form the paste
above mentioned, was very light, and the aix in the work room
was laden with it, a.a I know, because nasal discharges on my
handkorchied used to be luminous in the darkte This was
wise true of my olothing and parts of my body.
4. I was nover warned in any waye while an em-
ployee of the United States Radium Corporation, that the sub-
stances, which I was handling were in any way dangerous.
