Dear Dr. Lind:
I beg to acknowledge receipt of your wire,of July 29,
as well as coufirmation.
There is & little delay in just what our next move will
be relative to our law suits, due to the absence from the city of
one of the members of our legal staff. I are afraid that it will
be impossible to make arrangements to see you prior to the 5th of
August, and it is quite nossible that it will be important that 176
have a short conference with you prior to the 15th. In this
connection, I am wondering if it would be possible to see you for
a matter of an hour or two while you are on your vacation.

appreciate that one does not like to be disturbed with business
matters when enjoying a vacation, and I hardly anticipate that it
will be necessary to see you prior to your return. However, in
case that I have to take a trin west during your absence, I would
appreciate it, if possible, to have a short conference with you
while in that section of the country. Will your mail be promot-
ly forwarded to you during your absence?
