Mr. H. H. Barker, Vice Pres.
U. S. Radium Corporation,
535 Pearl Street,
New York City.
My dear Barker:
I have your letter of August 1 and would of course,
be glad to give you a day any time during my vacation, if you
can find me. I am going up on the north shore of Lake Superior,
trout fishing. My activities will center somewhere around the
town of Grand Marais, Minnesota, which is about 100 miles north
of Duluth on the Lake. I will call there once or twice in care
of the General Delivery for mail and would be glad to make an
appointment with you there if you so desire. A good meeting
place would be at the principal hotel, of which I think there is
only one, or the Post Office at an appointed hour. I imagine
there is a Bus line from Duluth up along the north shore,
passing through Grand Marais. Possibly it could be reached by
boat also. You could have a nice trip by coming across the
Lake to Duluth. If you could arrange to get a few days off
RECE!
for trout fishing, so much the better, though I imagine you

are too busy just now for that kind of recreation. It will
be the first real vacation that I have had in two years, so
I am looking forward to it keenly, but at the same time I
will be glad to do anything in my power to accommodate my
- to
plans to your convenience.
Sincerely yours,
