Dear Dr. Drinker: Thank you very much for the blood counts of the girls that you examined in Orange. As soon a.s I have my report in shape, I will send you a carbon copy of it and I would appreciate your comments, Tho I am not saying it out loud, I cannot but feel that the thorium and radium mixture in the paint is to blame in an indirect way for the girls condition. Cordially yours, Frederick B. Flinn (signed) " 39. That Dr. Frederick B. Flinn is not doctor of medicine, having solely the degrees of A. B. John Hopkins 1900; Ph. D. Columbia 1923. 40. J. My dear Miss Schaub: I have been examining a number of young ladies that have been engaged in painting watch dials. Miss Wiley of the Consumers League was in to see me and gave me your name a,s having been in to see her. I am very anxious to examine as many of the former employees of the Orange plant as I can and wonder if you would be kind enough to either come to my office at the College or if you prefer to my house in South Orange and let me give you an unbias opinion. after a proper ex- amination. I would prefer to have you come to the Col- lege a.s we have all of our instruments here and can do it a little better than at my house. However that is for you to decide, This examination will not cost you anything except your carfare and time, I am very much interested in this matter and have examined girls in a large number of factories in this country, and have also had them examined in Europe.
