Report of Elizabeth C. Lewis:
Mr. Jerold H. Farley,
419 Roseville Avenue,
Newark, N. J.
After a general canvass of Roseville Avenue located
Mrs. Farley residing at the above address, second floor, sharing
apartment with Mr. & lits. H. Thomson. In my interview with hor
said her husband worked for the Prudential Insurance Company,
Newark, having been in their employ for many years. Lived at
the present address since April, 1926, formerly residing at
448 Roseville Avenue, living there for a period of one year.
She readily recalled & Mrs. Louis Hussman, say-
ing they were tenants in the apartment in which they formerly
lived. the Hussmans occupying the apartments, second and
third floor, while the Farleys lived on the first floor. Living
with the Hussmans were lix. & Mrs. Bolz and Elsie Bolz, parents
and sister of Mrs. Hussman.
Said she knew very little regarding the Hussmans
personal affairs, were people who kept to themselves and did
not mix or mingle with their neighbors. Personally, she had
nothing to do with them as she considered them very crude,
common people.
When renting the apartment had they known the sort
of people the Hussmans and Bolz were, they certainly would never
have noved into the apartment. Unfortunately through stupidity
on their own part they never made any inquiries as to the
character and social standing of the people residing in the
