U. S. Radium Corp.
Orange, New Jersey
Gentlemen:
Am engaged in selling RADIUM ORE DISCS to be placed in
drinking water, as a health measure, and my work has been much
hindered by articles published in the News papers, similar to
the enclosed clipping.
Am at a loss to know in what form the Radium (if indeed it was
Redium) was used, to do so much harm; or with what other substancee
it was mixed, - -etc. as to be so poisonous.
Was not Phosphorus-really the substance used for illuminating
purposes?
Was any Radium used at all, - or was" Radium 11 simply the name
used for the Plant ?
Until I can know something more about the facts of the case
I cannot explain the situation satisfactorally to my Clients
and prospective Customers, who, many of them, have now become
afraid to drink Radio-active water, (since reading the enel osed)
Please send explanation in encloded seff addressed envelope-
and I shall be very grateful for the favor.
Very Truly Yours
H. Mead
8457 San Juan Ave. Southgate, California.
