Dr. Herman Schlundt,
University of Missouri,
Columbia, No.
Dear Dr. Schlundt:
Our plans for conducting the tests
on the five girls have been changed, and at present
February 19th, has been set as the day on which we
will begin this work.
There is still some question as to
exactly when it would be possible to examine Mrs. Mae
Cubberley Canfield. As I understand the situation
Mr. Berry has requested that Mr. Markley and lr. Smith
have authorization from the Court for a date, and
that will come up for a hearing next Monday, February
llth. We are hoping that the Judge will set either
Friday the 15th or the next week as the time for this
examination, so that you may complete both tasks while
you are here.
At present your presence will be
required on the 19th of February, and I would suggest
that you be available on the 18th, to discuss with
Dr. Failla your plans.
On Monday of next week we hope to have
more information regarding Mrs. Canfield, and I will
advise you immediately.
I hope that this change will not
materially inconvenience you.
Referring to your letter of January
22nd and February lst, suggesting corrections on our
paper:
I must advise that I have not as yet received
the proofs. I had hoped that the article would appear
in the February issue, but apparently it will be March
at the earliest, or possibly April. The article on
the Examination of the Post lortem specimens of Leman
appeared in the January issue.
Very truly yours,
HHBarker:RE
Vice President.
