UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI COLUMBIA DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY JUN 10 1929 June 6, 1929 Mr. H. H. Barker, Vice-President U. S. Radium Corporation 535 Pearl Street New York, N. Y. My dear Barker: I recently reminded Mr. Markley and Mr. Smith of my expense account and I have just had a letter from Mr. Markley saying that difficulties have arisen about the proportion of the azcounts to be paid by the Amsterdam Insurance Company which Mr. Smith represents, but he goes on to say that a meeting has been dalled for next Tuesday to consider this matter and to adjust the proportionality factor. Let me say that as soon as I get my money, I shall send what I owe you I have also sent in a claim to Dr. Miner for some recognition of my responsibility in the refining of his mesothorium cnncentrates. So far I have had no reply, but what I want to do is to get enough money to buy a Ford coupe which will take me to the places I want to go to this summer. Since I am not teaching in the sum er school, I think I can make more rapid advance on my problems by going up to Madison, Wisconsin for a time and up to Minneapolis. How are you getting on with your plans for the trip abroad? The University closed yesterday, but I shall be busy for another week closing up the accumulated correspondence in my office. With very kind regards, I remain Very truly yours, Herman Schlents Herman Schlundt HS:RO
