The matter has been brought to the attention of the Board of Directors of the Mayo Clinic and they wish to state clearly the polioy of the Clinio in not permitting members of the staff to beoome involved in medico-legal matters except when the Clinic or a fellow physician in good stand ing is the defendant. Furthermore, the Board has strictly discouraged the staff from acting as an expert witness, giving depositions, eto. Every endeavor is made to limit this feature of medico-legal practise and in this field they are restrioted as regards the facts or findings of the Clinic in the case of patients of the Clinio.
