    "ocrText": "March 24th,1930.\nDr. Herman Schlundt,\nHotel St. George,\nB'klyn, N.Y.\nDear Dr. Schlundt:\nDue to the fact that the attorneys for the plaintiffs\nMrs. Metz and Mrs. Tuck, seem disposed to subpoena our witnesses, due\nlargely to the lack of any witness of their own, we thought it best to\navoid having you subpoenaed by keeping you out of the picture until the\nproper time.\nThe cases start tomorrow morning at 10:30, and we shall\nbe in court until 4 or 4:30, but I will endeavor to communicate with you\nby 'phone between 4:30 and 6 o'clock at the Hotel St. George.\nWe had every hope in the World of settling these cases up\nuntil this morning, but apparently they are going to trial. We have been\nextremely busy attending to these matters, and as usual many things are\nstill undone that should have been attended to. In this connection I\nhope that you have had a little time or will have upon your arrival in\nNew York to prepare for us a list of questions which may be asked you upon\nthe stand. I am herewith sending you a copy of the questions which I\ndrafted at the time we were in the Court of Chancery, and while many of\nthese questions are not applicable still they may offer some suggestions.\nI have felt 80 confident that these cases would be\nsettled that up to the present time we have not proceeded with the prepara-\ntion of sketches which we discussed at our conference in January 17th, which\nwill be used to illustrate to the Court and Jury the extremely minute\namounts of radiug which our paint contains. It will probably be necessary\nfor you to remain out of sight on Wednesday, and I any turn over a draftsman\nfor you to direct in preparing these sketches, on that day provided this\nmeets with your approval. I will discuss this subject with you tomorrow\nafternoon or evening.\nDr. Moore is available and will arrive in New York on\nThursday morning. Had a wire from Lind this morning stating that it will\nbe impossible for him to be in New York this week.
