My dear Harold:
Thank you for forwarding the telegram
of Miss Dover, and I also thank you for the sugges-
tions regarding the paper with Dr. Failla.
I have received a letter from Dr.
Failla suggesting that we defer publication until
he himself has had time to calibrate the government
instrument; that is, the instrument you have loaned
the U. S. Public Health Service. He proposes to
calibrate this instrument by inserting a number of
"seeds" in a cadaver. By thus getting a more precise
constant for the government instrument, we shall be
in a position to revise the constant of the old
Wulf-Hess instrument which Dr. Failla and I used
in measuring the activity of Miss Freyer and Mrs.
Hussmann.
Within the next few days, I shall
see Dean Tisdel with a view of securing leave of
absence for a few days beginning April 22nd. If
the trial had been set for the week previous there
would probably have been no difficulty, as we have
a short Easter recess from the 17th to the 21st.
With very good wishes, I remain
Yours very sincerely,
Herman Schlundt
Herman Schlundt.
HS/GMA.
