OFFICE OF THE DEAN
Apr il 3,1930
Mr. Howard H. Barker,
U. S. Radium Corporation,
535 Pearl Street,
New York City
Dear Barker:
I was much surprised to learn
through your letter of March 27 that the trial set
for March 25 had resulted in a mistrial. The papers
out here carried none of this.
I note that you expect to go
ahead in the week of Apr il 22. Owing to the fact that
I am leaving today for Atlanta and that the entire
trip will keep me away about ten days, I do not foresee
that it would be possible for me to take another trip
in April. I regret very much that things have turned
out this way and that I cannot be of more assistance to
you. If I were nearer New York, it would be a simple
matter but as it is, it does not seem advisable for me
to plan two long trips so close together.
Wishing you the best of success,
Sincerely yours,
S. C Lind
