Mr. H. H. Barker,
Vice President,
U. S. Radium Corporation,
535 Pearl St.
New York, N. Y.
Dear Mr. Barker:
Please accept my best thanks for your letter
of May 26th, which gives me the information I asked for.
I am now bothering you with another question.
We have finished our survey of the various watch factories
and are now working up our results. These are very in-
teresting and I think will enable us to form some defi-
nite conclusions.
From information which Dr. Schwartz and his
colleagues obtained while in the field, it appears that
the radioactive paint has been in use in watch factories
for about 16 years. What I wish to know, and I think
you are best qualified to give me the information, is from
what companies these factories have been obtaining their
radioactive paint. As I understand it, at the present
time there are two companies, namely, your company - the
United States Radium Corporation - and the Radium Dial
Company (Radium Luminous Corporation, Standard Chemical
Company) . Are these the only two companies from whom
the factories have obtained their radioactive paint dur-
ing this period?
