DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGY CORNELL UNIVERSITY MEDICAL COLLEGE FIRST AVENUE AND 28TH STREET ACT 231930 NEW YORK October 22, 1930. Mr. H.H. Barker U.S. Radium Corporation 535 Pearl Street New York City. My dear Mr. Barker: I am sending you approved bills forthe radium cases the total of which is rather formidable. After a discussion with our superintendent Mr. Holmes, I feel that the bill for hospital charges in the case of Miss Schaub is a reasonable charge, seeing that this patient occupies a private room. The charges of the Memorial Hospital for radiographs includes complete pictures of the entire skeleton which Dr. Craver and I felt were necessary in order to determine the effects of the ergosterol treatment which we are now instituting. If we can duplicate the results obtained at Waterbury, the expenses connected with this treatment may save more than it costs. Sincerely yours James Ewing.
