NOV 211930 INDE MNITY GLOBE INDEMNITY COMPANY THOTO COMPANY A. DUNCAN REID, PRESIDENT CASUALTY INSURANCE FIDELITY AND SURETY BONDS ADDRESS ALL COMMUNICATIONS TO THE COMPANY REPLY TO United States Radium Corporation New Jersey Legal 535 Pearl Street DEPARTMENT New York City. November 20, 1930. newark, N.J. Attention of Mr. H. H. Barker, Vice President. In re: Mrs. Ruth Saxer (Nee Winters) you you us that Mrs. Saxer did not enter your employ until June, 1918, and our policy expired on November 4th, 1917. If this were the correct situation, there could be no question that we would not be interested in any adjustment of the matter, but from the testimonial examination which was had subsequent- ly, it would appear that Mrs. Saxer testified that she entered your employ in the fall of 1917, and that she did packing for a couple of months when she first entered, and for a month or SO did inspecting. It would therefore appear that even though she did enter your employ in the fall of 1917, she was not exposed to any radium for a period of about three months, so that in any event we would not be one of the companies interested because of the fact that there was no exposure during the term of our policy, which, as stated above, expired on the 4th day of November, 1917. I will be pleased to hear from you if there is anything further in the matter that you wish to discuss with me. With kindest regards, I remain Very truly yours, CSG: EW ATTORNEY. Cay
