May 27th,1931. Dr. Herman Schlundt, University of Missouri, Columbia, No. Dear Dr. Schlundt: I am herewith enclosing a letter which we received the other day, and a type of letter which we do not make any reply to. It occurs to us that you might be interested in writing these people stating that you understand they are interested in a source of supply of radioactive luminous materials. It would be advisable not to use the name of the United States Radium Corporation in your communications with these people. In your first letter you probably could get some information from them relative to the grade of material which they use and the price which they pay. Their letter does not give sufficient information to quote them intelligently on this product. If you can succeed in finding an outlet for 75 to 100 grams of material per month, we can probably arrange to obtain the sine sulphide for you. You will doubtless be interested in an article occurring in the May 23rd, issue of the Journal of the Anerican Medical Association. The article is on the elimination of radium salts from the human body, by Dr. Flinn. This entire uasue is of interest in as mach as it is the Radiologie number. We have an appointment with Dr. Leake at four o'clock this afternoon, at which time we are going to discuss the forthcoming report by the Dept. of Public Health. I shall let you know how we make out. Very truly yours, H/IBarker:R
