June 8th,1931. Dr. Herman Schlundt, University of Missouri, Columbia, No. Dear Dr. Schlundt: I am herewith returning to you the report by the U.S.Dept. of Public Health. I am also enclosing copy of a letter addressed to Dr. Leake, out- ling to him my criticisms of the report. After reflecting upon my comments I have about come to the conclusion to definitely take the stand that according to their results only 4 of those engaged since 1926, show the presence of radioactive materials. I don't believe that the others in the list show the presence of enough more than the controls to jusfify our classifying them as active cases. I an going up thru the Valley this afternoon to discuss this report, as well as my criticisms, with the Clock Compenies involved. I shall be glad to let you know what the next nove will be. I am not sending a copy of my criticisms to Dr. Lind, but in the event that you feel he would be interested I would appreciate it if you would send along the copy which I am sending to you when you have finished with it. Unfortunately we do not have extra copios on hand. I understand that the session of the University has closed, and an wondering what your plans for the Summer are. Sincerely yours, Vice President.
