Dr. Herman Schlundt,
303 Hicks Ave.,
Columbia, Mo.
Dear Dr. Schlundt:
With reference to the reprints of the article
by Dr. Fialla and yourself - we are interested in a limited number
of these only, say about four or five copies.
Under separate cover I am sending you six or eight
reprints of the article by Schlundt, Barker and Flinn. In esse you
need more I have a few more on hand which I would be glad to send to you.
I had not heard about Dr. Miner's idlness, and most
sincerely hope that he recovers. I trust that you will ke- p me posted as
to the progress which he makes, for it is quite probable that I will
not be advised thru any other channels.
The reprints of the paper on "The Dangers in Handling
Radioactive Substances", were received, and I have read the paper with
a great denl of interest. The subject matter is presented in a very
complete manner, and is somewhat different than articles which Dr. Flinn
and others interested in this subject have presented their subject
matter.
I am not surprised that you did not receive any
specimens from Dr. Martland of Nrs. LePorte's skeleton. Dr. Martland
considers his work final in this matter, and I don't believe he shows
any particular desire to cooperate with others. Oftentimes examination
by different people disclose additional facts which are not brought
to light by one examiner - Dr. Martland, however, apparently does not
take this attitude.
As yet I have not made any plans for my vacation -
while I may go to Colorado, a little later, still it is quite problem-
atical. What are your plans for the summer?
Sincerely yours,
HHBarker:R
Vice President.
