COLLINS & CORBIN COUNSELLORS AT LAW CLEMENT K. CORBIN ROBERT J. BAIN EDWARD A. MARKLEY CHARLES W. BROADHURST 1 EXCHANGE PLACE. HOWARD F. MC INTYRE JAMES B. EMORY JERSEY CITY, N.J. PATRICK F. MC DEVITT JOHN F. LEONARD JOHN P. GILMARTIN JAMES J. LANGAN ADOLPH S. HUMMEL March 14, 1932. Hoare V. U. S. Radium Corporation. C. B. Lee, Esq., Pres. U. S. Radium Corp. MAR 15 1932 535 Pearl Street, New York City. Chas. Stockdell Gray, Esq., Counsel, Globe Indemnity Co. 20 Washington Place, Newark, N. J. Gentlemen: In this case as a result of a number of additional long-winded conferences, I have succeeded in getting another offer which is stated to be a firm offer in settlement of $3500. I approve of an acceptance of this offer and should like to have yourrecommendation as to whether or not I should close the case. I know that the plaintiff's attorneys have been doing all in their power to get their client, who is very obstreperous, to settle. The reason why they are doing this is because they feel that the cost of the preparation of the case for medical experts, etc. would be in the neighborhood of $1500. and they are unwilling to put that much money into the case. The plaintiff is a very boisterous client who has been at the Court House annoying all of the judges for the past month because her case has not been moved. Judge Dungan, Senior Judge in Essex has personally informed me that the woman has been parked at his doorstep with her sister who is a politician, and he had to practically threaten her before he could get rid of her. Yours very truly, EAM: AG E C marichy
