Gentlemen:
In this case as a result of a number of
additional long-winded conferences, I have succeeded in
getting another offer which is stated to be a firm offer
in settlement of $3500. I approve of an acceptance of this
offer and should like to have yourrecommendation as to
whether or not I should close the case.
I know that the plaintiff's attorneys have
been doing all in their power to get their client, who is
very obstreperous, to settle. The reason why they are doing
this is because they feel that the cost of the preparation
of the case for medical experts, etc. would be in the
neighborhood of $1500. and they are unwilling to put that
much money into the case.
The plaintiff is a very boisterous client
who has been at the Court House annoying all of the judges
for the past month because her case has not been moved.
Judge Dungan, Senior Judge in Essex has personally informed
me that the woman has been parked at his doorstep with her
sister who is a politician, and he had to practically threaten
her before he could get rid of her.
Yours very truly,
EAM: AG
