Hon. Philip Forman,
Post Office Building,
Trenton, N. J.
Dear Judge Forman:
You have set the above equity suit down for
finel hearing for June 4th at Newark. We have about twenty
witnesses, a number of whom come from a great distance, for
instance, from Missouri, Minnesota, Michigan and Wisconsin.
These witnesses are all profess ional witnesses of national
prominence and it is very diffioult for us to control their
time so es to bring them to court at Newark. It is also
necessary for us to make arrangements with them long in advance
of the time of their appearance in order to procure their
attendance.
May I therefore inquire whether we are to heve
just June 4th for the finel hearing or whether you will con-
tinue to sit thereefter to finish the final hearing. If you
will continue the case after June 4th, for how long a time
will you continue it? I believe it will take at least three
to four days to put our side of the case in.
We ere sending copy of this letter to Mr.
Emmerglick,
With kindest personal regards,
Sincerely yours,
EAM:AO
