Mr. H. H. Barker, Vice-President
U. S. Radium Corporation
535 Pearl Street
New York, N. Y.
Dear Mr. Barker:
In connection with your recent correspondence
with Mr. A. W. Anthony, Jr., of Cambridge, the attached sketch
will indicate what sort of radioactive device is contemplated.
A small glass capsule filled with air at atmospheric pressure
and provided with two electrodes is to contain sufficient
active material to maintain a saturation current of about x
rad19.-9
amperes. None of the construction details are critical, the
only requirement being the limiting saturation current.
Will you let me know whether you could make
such a device and at approximately what cost?
Very truly yours,
Robley Becam
