Dear Dr. Evans:
The writer finds your letter of February 17, with sketch
of the device you wish to use for experiments, attached. Te are
not prepared to make up the unit es shom. Rovevor, if you would
send us the cylinder constricted at both ends for introduction of
the electrodes, we would be glad to put a coating of redio-active
material on the inside of such cylinder. We, however, would have
to have an opening of approximately 1/4" at the points where the
electrodes are to be inserted. You probably have better facilities
for making up the unit than we have, as it sould be necessary for
us to have the work done by an outside concern, and that, of course,
sould be costly.
The cost of our work will almost fully depend upon the quantity
of radio-active material to be used to coat the inside of the cylinder.
If you can give us some idea as to the activity, expressed in milli-
grans, that you would desire to have, we would be glad to quote you
a price.
