TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN THE MATTER OF THE
DETERMINATION OF THE PREVAILING MINIMUM WAGES
IN THE MANUFACTURE OF AEROPLANES, AIRCRAFT ENGINES,
PROPELLERS, ACCESSORIES, AND THE MANUFACTURING AND
FINISHING OF PARTS.
There is enclosed herewith a copy of the recommenda-
tions of the Public Contracts Board In the Matter of the
Prevailing Minimum Wages in the Manufacture of Aeroplanes,
Aircraft Engines, Propellers, Accessories, and the Manu-
facturing and Finishing of Parts.
These recommendations are based on evidence taken at
a public hearing held on March 10, 1938 in Room 3229,
Department of Labor Building, Washington, D.C. Notice of
the hearing was sent to all known trade associations, labor
unions and trade publications in the field, as well a.s to
all known members of the industry.
The recommendations. are presented to you now in order
that you may have full opportunity to register your
objection or approval before any decision is made by the
Secretary of Labor.
Briefs may be filed with the Administrator, Department
of Labor Building, Washington, D.C. within 14 days of the
date hereof. No form for the brief is prescribed but it is
suggested that where possible an original and 4 copies be
furnished.
After the expiration of the 14-day period the Board's
recommendations, together with such briefs as have been
filed, will be forwarded to the Secretary of Labor.
