Total radium in feces - 7 days
7403 3 ug
Average daily olimination of radium in
feces
1058
There should be added to the total radium excreted per day,
the radium present daily in the urine, which was found to be 103 x 10*12 6,
a
and avorage of detorminations on two samples. The total radium el-
iminated daily is thus brought up to 1161 u ug. Since Subject A
bears approximately 21 micrograms of radium element simple ditision
gives the value 5 x 10-5(0.005 %) as the coefficient of daily
elimination for this subject. Expressed in other words it appears
that it takes Subject A about 890 days to eliminate one microgram
of radium. It is worth while to point out that the daily elimination
of radium in the feces runs closely parallel with the weight of the
mineral residue. This relation was also found to hold for Subject B,
who, however, is not as efficient in the olinination of radium as A.
The condensed experimental data follows:
Total radium in feces - 6 days period
1846 y ug.
Daily elimination of radium - feces - average
