Description and Remarks
AT SEA: (Aboard the USS ANTIE
TAM, USN Plane carrier (CV-36), the first flattop
modified with the new angled "canted deck"to allow for twin takeoffs
is shown with planes using both the angle runway and the straight flit
deck on alternate takeoffs--originally designed by the Royal Navy,
this British-American joint Naval Development increases the fighting
potential and operational efficiency of the ship--these secenes give
a pilot's eye view of landing on this new canted deck--other aerial
views show jet and prop planes on test SEA--U.S.NAVY..
