INFORMATION: (Grumman Cougar F9F-8-M,vere among the air-
craft making these runs for the first test under actual carrier landir
conditions--no mention is made of Same in scene listing but it is mer
tioned in caption so there may be a shot of one in the tests---the A3I
1 SKYWARRIOR is first Navy all-jet heavy attack bomber: the F11F
TIGER is another supersonic fighter--catapult takeoffs and arrest land
ings vere used to test all weights and types of Navy aircraft------the
1039 ft.long FORRESTAL can handle any plane that can land on a 10,000
foot airport runway (it's sort of a floating Idlewild Int'1 Airport
and can travel anywhere over the sealanes which are 70 percent of the
earth's surface and can launch attacks on enemy postions at moment's
notice)
