"554. Violence while eluding inspection or during violation
of arrival, reporting, entry or clearance
requirements".
(c) Section 111 of title 18, United States Code, is amended
by redesignating subsection (b) as subsection (c), and inserting a
new subsection (b) as follows:
" (b) Reckless Endangerment.- Whoever knowingly disregards or
disobeys the lawful authority or command of any officer or
employee of the United States charged with enforcing the
immigration, customs or other laws of the United States along any
border of the United States while engaged in or on account of the
performance of official duties, and thereby endangers the safety
of any person or property, shall be fined under this title or
imprisoned for not more than six months, or both."

Section 2201. Sanctions for failure to heave to, obstructing a
lawful boarding, and providing false information.
(a) IN GENERAL.--Chapter 109 of title 18, United States
Code, is amended by adding, at the end, new section 2237 to read
as follows:

Sanctions for failure to heave to; sanctions for
obstruction of boarding and providing false
