What does the Surgeon General say to individual Americans about not smoking?
A:
If you don't smoke or chew tobacco, don't start. If you do smoke or chew tobacco, quit.
This is simple advice but not always easy. Regrettably in 1998, tobacco is still the
leading preventable cause of death and disease in America.
