is as follows:
I first met Michael Milken in 1989 when he
visited my high school in Harlem. New York where he came
to speak with high school seniors who were recognized as
scholars and future leaders. As a result of that meeting,
Michael developed a scholarship program that would afford
underprivileged but deserving youngsters the opportunity
to attend colleges of their choice. I am a member of the
first graduating class of the Milken Scholars Program
