SUBJECT: SECRETARY OF THE NAVY JOHN DALTON
I recently had lunch with Secretary of the Navy John Dalton and
learned that he and his wife Margaret have never been to a small,
private state dinner with the President. In my judgment there
are not many people in the Administration who are stronger
supporters or more loyal to the President than John is.
Please let me know if we can accommodate John and Margaret.
