Dear Ethan:
Thank you for your 7 December 1994 letter regarding the
President's accomplishments. As you point out, the President has
a long list of accomplishments, including lowering the deficit,
creating millions of new jobs, NAFTA, the Crime Bill, and most
recently GATT.
Your point that local district leaders, union and church leaders,
and supportive organizations need to help inform the public of
the President's accomplishments is well taken. We clearly need to
do more and to do a better job to educate the public on the
President's accomplishments.
I hope the Environmental Protection Agency was able to answer
your questions from your previous letter about the President's
Climate Control Plan.
I appreciate your suggestion and wish you a happy holiday.
Sincerely,
Haven
Harold Ickes
Assistant to the President
And Deputy Chief of Staff
