THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON
20 July 1995
Mr. Jerome E. Schwartz
47 Fairway
Bloomfield, NJ 07003
Dear Mr. Schwartz:
Thank you for your letters of 29 April and 12 May 1995. I
appreciate your suggestions and agree that it is important to
highlight the differences between what the Republicans say and
what they do.
Your point about the need for the President to take a more
aggressive position on "hate-radio" is well taken. He has spoken
out forcefully against talk of division and violence and will
continue to do so.
I thank you for your input, the President appreciates your
continued support.
Sincerely,
(table year
Harold Ickes
Assistant to the President
and Deputy Chief of Staff
