made up of holes bored through
nearly eight feet in length each
seven pieces of timber with an
ance over the actual sige of the both
augur having hut an 1/8 wich clear
coming together with such exacti-
tude that there was no difficulty
in inserting the meas holts. of this precision
was accomplished by an augus guide impro-
which when nailed down to the timber
visid from a alrougly constructed cartridge box
through which the timches was to be loved
insured its being loved true,
