Sir:
Willyon please inform me what blankcheck
book orcheck books you have received from menif
any, since march 18yo,girming as mar as you pau
the date of the receipt; given ng also the stamped
numbers of the first and bast checks in each book.
I fany official check book, the use of which co mmaneed
since that date, has becuturned over to you by or from
your pre decessors in office, I desire the same inform-
ation respecting such booksbr tooks.
The object of this is to account for some misling
for ks whichech this office has probably for
warded to Disbursing Officers without mak-
ing the proper record of the fact. awarly
