ngth wer. relative to the production of you.
anderson alias Ben. chatman and others
whose oases are now pending in the u. S.
Coush at New Orleans; I have to inform
you that the matter was duly placed before
the Department of Justice, and that on the
6th inst. a communication was received
from that Department enclosing copy of
one from the u. S. attorney at new Orleans,
dated the 27th ulto explaining the cause of
delay thus far and announcing his
