Typed on back: Looking southerly from center line Sta. 4+00+/-. Running from right center to left center Greenwich-Hardwick Road with bridge over Ware River. Starting from left center and running to center background is road leading to Shaft 12. Speedcrane gas shovel rigged as a crane with clamshell bucket excavating unsuitable material from former bottom of Walker's Mill Pond. Depth of embankment at center line of baffle in former location of mill pond 94+/- feet. Partially excavated trench for culvert in foreground.
