Five letters in which Noyes, apothecary and patriot of Boston, MA, informs Henshaw of Leicester, MA of events in Boston, Salem, and elsewhere in months preceding outbreak of American Revolution. Includes description of Port Bill's impact, comments on Loyalists taking refuge in Boston, county sheriffs being ordered to remove all powder to Boston, and troops being deployed to protect the courts. Noyes urges unity among all towns of MA against British tyranny. Includes handwritten transcripts of letters and biographical notes by Harriet E. Henshaw.
